The usual thing happens to me in the 66 years of motherhood to the wonderful creatures God has given me - my 5 children; a celebration that has evolved from the simplest to the grandest year after year; and the latest of which was really a blast - a travel to Hongkong even right after my heart bypass operation. I was more than touched - for my life extended, productively; having this new lease
of existence, work potential is still in the offing!(Witnessed 2 weddings of a son and a daughter.)
But I don't wish to dwell on my personal experience but rather - on one of the 5 wonderful children; a loving daughter,Claire has brought me so much pride and hope that ours is a better place to live and nurture lives entrusted to us.Daughter Claire is a mother now to son ELJ (Ethan Lawrence John); a precocious, energetic and very much advanced in development (according to child behaviorist)!
Outstanding to this child development are the crucial stages of: absorbent mind and sensitive years. Claire having been exposed to the Maria Montessori Method of teaching came to prove her mettle on young ELJ; from being a baby to a child aged one year and 8 months now.
Claire has chosen to take a leave from work (as call center supervisor); even sacrificed assuming the task of manager as a promotion; when yaya of ELJ goes on leave due to a family emergency.
Never leaves the task of motherhood to a reliever, Claire prefers to be a mother to her child at this sensitive period of development.
As a child's mind absorbs much from year one to 3 years old, Claire starts now to develop ELJ's 5 senses - sensorial lessons adapted to enhance use of: sight,touch,hearing,taste,smell; all these to help also to prepare the child's motor skills.
Claire knows that bonding is the key to the best in child's development(mother and child have moments of their own);but not neglecting the child's social grace; bringing ELJ to meet as many children of various ages - so the church and kids parties are daily fares when the events occur. Surely, these are welcome activities to test the environment for a child's growth.This is the sensitive stage that a child learns: to love, care for things;motor skill development exploring his environment.
Thus, Claire's ELJ has grown up into a happy, healthy child; with much friendly attitude towards peers; an excellent display of the good raising up a mother can do to her child. Easily, normalization is attained when ELJ enters school.
For all these, I am the proudest, for as an Early Childhood Learning, Montessori directress and consultant, my theories has formed into a strong foundation that truly evidenced the gems in a child - that a mother has to discover, nurture and develope!

ptl (praise the Lord!) we remember on 14 april the 9th anniversary of the passing of paul mercado pajo,jr (jp), as it comes to mind:
that he was awarded a doctorate degree in the 1990s by dr. de la madrid - citing jp as a genius in -methodology in promotion/as impressario; in business and journalism
even before that, jp at age 18 was the youngest impressario/promoter at CCP (cultural center of the phils) for "the king and the bride" presentation as playwright and producer/director in 1960s
the famous poet and writer, artist rolando carbonel of "beyond forgetting" cited jp as young genius in a class of his own, in 1970s.
all these were consolidated as founder of CAFAM (citizens award for filipino artists and musicians) in 1980s
jp's works culminated into a grand vision -in process, the GLOPSODAPSECON(global prayer of song and dance praise for Christ second coming), when death took its toll; was meant to bring all family of believers to the knowledge of love and salvation of God by spreading the Gospel to the ends of the earth!
truly, we are honored of him as pastor of his own family, never been orphaned despite his death; the church planters of churches with south koreans(ecumenical holiness church);other local churches -the triumphant christians int'l at 4th est., pque.m.m. and father to his missionary children: presently and envisioning in spain,kuwait,dubai,myanmar, australia, canada,afghanistan....a faithful partner of the undersigned (much privileged to work with him in the vineyard of the Lord for 30 years of blissful marriage and fruitful life)!

A Great Reunion - How It Came to Be! Tracing Back, How It All Began...
Such clamor from family and friends - How the Pajo-Belviz family - clan came to be...tracing the roots was just as exciting as knowing where this is all leading us to...and we can hardly contain ourselves from maintaining level-headed dispositions..imagining to be able to recall what seems to be blurry nostalgic reminisces of the past gone by....a long time ago....
The Pajo side of this family originated from the Visayan Province of Bohol - presently, people know it as having one of the Seven Wonders of the World - the scenic and God-touched-designed - The Chocolate Hills, truly magnificent view! - likened to giant chocolate molds but only our eyes can savor! Amidst this enchanted Paradise - the Pajos: starting with Pablo or Paul Sr., from the clan of landed farmers, with artistic talents in music - even known to play wind instruments, guitars; were craftsmen as boat builders; found a gracious lady, Teotima Mercado, a native of Limasawa (where was held the first mass when Ferdinand Magellan, who discovered the Philippines on March 16, 1521, landed) in Leyte. Teotima was known to play well the harp; that perhaps attracted Pablo, Sr. to her; both were music lovers and can play excellently any wind instrument (were singers too). They had begotten 12 children; Paul Jr., was the youngest. The other boys were boxing aficionados and into boat building though. Soon enough Pablo Sr., died. Teotima remarried; Gene Accompanado was the 13th child; he's now a retired med tech specialist in Saskatoon, Canada with 2 children.
How did Paul (Pablo) Jr., fare in this circumstance of his difficult childhood: An orphan at that (of a father) - well, at age 13, he ventured to travel a lot, visiting his elder siblings around the Provinces of Mindanao and Visayas - Agusan, Iligan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Bacolod, Samar, Panay among others.... enjoyed such freedom with the blessings of his mother, a protestant (Paul Sr., was Catholic). Paul Jr., was brought up as God worshipper "sunriser" - praising his creator at the break of dawn by the seashore fronting their house in Southern Leyte (Maasin) - with cousins, relatives and the other kids his age (that perhaps explains why in his manhood, he had carried on the devotion - a legacy now left to his family - his children, all enamoured with the Lord, Jesus); all graduated from college ( De La Salle, U, Adamson U) all LaSallians at one point (attended primary,secondary); all either in ministries or missions as tentmakers - in the Philippines,Madrid, Dubai, Afghanistan, Kuwait; visiting churches in Australia, Singapore, Thailand, the vast Philippine archipelago of many islands.....
(Paul Jr., married Lorna Corpuz Belviz of Pontevedra, Roxas City and Iloilo City on February 9, 1972; had 5 children):
Paul Amerigo Jr., II , the eldest child was the missionary of Victory Christian Fellowship (Every Nation) Myanmar(Burma) at age 25, as tentmaker in various nations while in job consultancy of foreign international companies; graduated CSCT, and presently teaching at DLSU-CSB;
the youngest,Paul Marco Pajo, IVis now in Madrid, Spain (newly married, last May 2007 to a Spanish citizen; a native too of Bacarra, Ilocos Norte - Senora Jennifer Sagisi Castillo y Pajo); the couple awaiting as tentmaker of Every Nation Madrid Mission soon to be opened in June 2008 with Ptr. Rey Corpuz and his wife, Menchie;
The second to the youngest of the family,Liza Lyn Pajo works a Executive Assistant in Kuwait; also as tentmaker and ministering in music and dance to kids of expats parents;
The elder sister, Claire Ann Pajois engaged to John Oliver Ledesma Sansolis (of Cotabato City, Gen. Santos; an alumnus of Ateneo de Davao U); were married on January 18, 2008.Both met at People Support;
While the elder son, Paul Jehu Pajo, IIIis an IT-Quality- Auditor-Consultant (worked with Landbank,Accenture...).
........How Jun (Paul Jr.a born-again Christian, Protestant) and Lorna (a Catholic, convent-bred,colegiala), met .....
In God's appointed time; in obedience to their calling - Jun (Paul,Jr.) and Lorna met at the historic Manila Hotel; Both were in travel and tourism business (Lorna was Ayala Corp Accounting Supervisor - tours & travel, Jun had his own office there). Both prayerful and sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit, Jun remembered a whisper when he saw Lorna walking by the lobby of the Manila Hotel, "that would be your wife." Meeting Lorna right there and then - he readily confided this. What followed was a 6-month courtship; Lorna found in Jun a persistent Romeo; they were married later in Malolos, Bulacan, blessed in the archaic Barasoain Church; and followed by 10th, 22nd wedding anniversary celebrations thereafter, in catholic ceremonies - Alabang, San Roque Church; and born-again renewal of vows at Cathedral of Praise ( where Jun first got born-again; Lorna got slain by the Holy Spirit and received miracles of having children after being found by doctors as diagnosed: barren, could not bear a child; all children were RH factor). God reversed it all - 5 children were born healthy. That settled the issue. Lorna and Jun since then in unity brought up such good Christian family. Auspicious, considering Lorna's ancestry:
born the eldest of 4 children to Catholic parents - Lawyer-Judge Jose Barredo Belviz of Pontevedra, and Roxas City, Capiz; married to gov't employee: Philsugin & DILG; AB-Political Science degree holder Paciencia Elmido Corpuz of Iligan City and Dumaguete.
( The Belviz-Barredo clan are known to have hard-core Catholic background: cousins, uncles are either priests, nuns or monsignors; Lorna would have been a nun upon graduating from high school (Franciscan Order; later on taught in college at Santa Isabel at Taft, Manila (run by the Sisters of Charity). Mother Paciencia had a Spanish friar for a grandfather: Elmido of Dumaguete City.)
All of Lorna's relatives: aunts and uncles are Roman Catholics: Sisters of Mother: Potenciana, Natang, Icasiano Elnar; Josefa, Aniceta, Felicitas Corpuz; Uncle Anastacio Avelino (Grandmother Ciriaca Elmido married thrice; widowed twice).
Cousins: are Catholic except for a nephew: Louie Zabayle and siblings by cousin Luth(Lucio) Zabayle;

PTL! Aren't we blessed to have 3 celebrants with birthdays: February 28-Claire's;March 11-Liza's & March 29-Marco's!
It's an awesome celebration - thinking of the full force goodwill and goodness of the 3 occasions!
Most of all taken individually, we are blessing them with all our fervent prayers, wishes and the hope of making these milestones in their lives truly cups overflowing to the btim!
We have this prophecy for Claire, Liza & Marco:
"Ask God the spring showers, the latter rain will bring forth blessings to make all grass green, seed plants grow, and mountain dews comfort"...Zechariah 10:1
My reading is also prophesying to us all: That though we have mountains to climb in life - trials, tribulations - Our God will bring us comfort in this desert and provide us an oasis in the midst of this not so pleasant circumstances. Having our faintest faith in God's goodness and mercy will make us experience only the best in life! The most important thought would be to trust God and lean not on our own understanding! Pray to have the mind of Christ!
Keep the faith burning - though an ember, flickering - God in a flash of wind brought by His cloud will make it spark again!
(a recent development why our faith is reinforced: my letter to our congressman Neptali Boyet Gonzales may have spelled a magic stroke; his chief of staff Atty Bartolome writing to the Bgy New Zaniga to help us out resolved our P2 M claims of damages vs the Quiambaos (owner of condo)
Pray that even if we have to leave boni residence to transfer to much better place, we have kept our dignity intact and not treated shabily! Borrowing a cliche from a movie: "don't get angry, get everything!"
